Abstract
The field of sentiment analysis (SA) is an ever- evolving field of research in text mining. SA is the computer processing of opinion, mood and subjectivity in text. The concept of sentiment can be defined as the expression of a positive or negative opinion through the use of language. There are many applications of sentiment analysis, which include determining whether a review posted online (of a movie, a book, or a consumer product) is constructive or antagonistic toward the item being reviewed by automatically evaluating the content of the review. In the era of social media analysis, sentiment analysis has become a common tool in the arsenal of companies, marketers, and political analysts. They analyze social media for analytical purposes. A key component of sentiment analysis is the ability to extract information from words in texts that are positive and negative. This information can be extracted from the contexts and linguistic structures in which these words are used. In this brief review, we will consider, in particular, the contribution of language knowledge to solving the problem of automatically detecting the tone of a text. As part of this study, sentiment analysis for IMDB reviews of television series is applied to the research.
