Abstract
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short non-coding RNA molecules that play an important role in many types of cancers including breast cancer. In the current study, the expression levels of microR-10b (miR-10b) were evaluated in (75) breast cancer patients. Real time reverse transcription-PCR was used to assess miR-10b expression. Additional assays for CA-15.3 and IL-27 evaluation were used in this study. The results found that miR-10b expression levels were higher in BC patients (3.404) fold compared to the healthy controls group (1.104) and stage I, II, III and IV (2.196, 2.580, 3.343 and 4.639) fold times increase respectively. The results of CA-15.3 levels in the serum of BC patients showed significant increase (P=0.001) compared to the healthy control. The levels of serum IL-18 were increased significantly in BC patients compared with health control (P< 0.001).
