Abstract

Joint arthroplasty is designed to expand the envelope of function of symptomatic arthritic knees as safely and predictably as possible. The aim of the work was to compare between Surgical Techniques for Total Knee Arthroplasty with Focusing on Patient Outcomes and Complications. This study was systematic review meta-analysis study in which 63 previous studies with total 4859 patients from different accepted data bases were be selected to be included.63 studies included in this study with total 4859 patients with a mean age of 64 ranging from 44 to 84 years, The follow-up duration ranged between 0.125 to 10 years While surgical approaches used in these studies were were direct anterior approach(DAA),direct lateral approach(DLA) ,minimally invasive direct lateral approach(MIS-DAL),minimally invasive anterolateral approach(MIS-ALA) PA=posterior approach(PA) ,minimally invasive posterior approach(MIS-PA) and supercapsular percutaneously in which are overlapped between many studies . Total knee arthroplasty has been long been considered one of the most successful surgical procedures due to the consistent ability to relieve pain and restore function
