Abstract
This research aims to investigate how healthcare workers in a varied healthcare context perceive the responsibilities of nurses in community health promotion. A survey was carried out among healthcare professionals, such as nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, to evaluate their views on nurses' role in promoting healthy habits and avoiding illness in communities. Participants were instructed to assess their agreement with a set of statements on nurses' involvement in health promotion using a Likert scale. The poll findings showed a mostly favorable view of nurses' role in promoting community health. Participants strongly agreed with statements emphasizing the pivotal role of nurses in giving support, working closely with other healthcare professionals, using evidence-based methods, empowering people, and feeling supported by their organizations. Nevertheless, there was heterogeneity in answers about the participation of community members in decision-making processes, addressing socioeconomic determinants of health, encountering barriers in engaging communities, and obtaining acknowledgment for their efforts. The results indicate that healthcare professionals acknowledge the significance of nurses in advocating for healthy habits and enhancing health outcomes in communities. A clear agreement was seen in important areas including cooperation, evidence-based practices, empowerment, and organizational support, emphasizing the crucial role of nurses in community health promotion endeavors. The research highlighted discrepancies in attitudes, suggesting possibilities for additional investigation and possible areas for enhancing nurses' participation in health promotion. The findings have significance for healthcare organizations and policymakers regarding the support and enhancement of nurses' participation in community health promotion. Healthcare professionals and organizations may collaborate to enhance the effectiveness of nurses in promoting healthy habits and avoiding illness by acknowledging and tackling the diverse attitudes and obstacles found in this research.
