THE IMPACT OF LEADERSHIP STYLES ON THE QUALITY OF SERVICE PROVIDED BY NURSING STAFF AND RADIOLOGY SPECIALISTS IN PUBLIC HOSPITALS IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

Abstract
The study aims to identify the impact of leadership styles on the quality of service provided by nursing staff and radiology specialists in public hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study followed the descriptive and analytical approach, and used a questionnaire that applied on random sample of (152) employees from different career levels in peripheral network hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the data analyzed by using (SPSS) to reach the results. The results showed that there is a high level of appreciation of the sample’s opinion about the level of the provided services in public hospitals. The study showed a statistically significant effect of leadership styles and their dimensions (democratic leadership, autocratic leadership, free leadership, transformational leadership) on the quality of service provided by nursing staff and radiology specialists in public hospitals. The study recommended the necessity of organizing training courses and workshops for leadership in public hospitals regarding leadership styles; in order to enhance their awareness of the various leadership styles and their impact on the level of service provided in the hospitals where they work.
