Abstract
Context: Job contentment is a critical pillar upon which the health system builds in order to provide patients with superior care services. Job satisfaction is an employee's internal sentiment regarding their employment, irrespective of personal preference. The satisfaction of health practitioners with their jobs is regarded as a critical determinant of their productivity, mental health, and well-being. Objective: This research investigation is a component of an integrated study that seeks to comprehend the factors that influence a revised workforce planning strategy in Saudi Arabia, with particular emphasis on the demand and supply sides within the country. Males were substantially more satisfied with their specialty, organisation, and overall global score, according to the findings of this study. Additionally, substantial evidence supports a correlation between age and job satisfaction. Younger health practitioners were less satisfied with their jobs than their elder counterparts. With the exception of urban happiness, we discovered that Saudi healthcare practitioners were the least contented in every aspect. Conversely, non-Saudi (Arab) healthcare practitioners were the most content in every aspect. Conclusion: Statistically significant differences were identified in our study, indicating that practitioners of medicine and surgery report the highest levels of satisfaction, while dentists report the lowest levels of satisfaction. A substantial majority of health practitioners, specifically those who possessed over five years of experience, expressed the highest levels of satisfaction.
