Abstract
The Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacy (SSCP) is a professional and scientific group in the area of clinical pharmacy. It is run by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. A group called SSCP thinks that many things about the job of a clinical chemist in Saudi Arabia need to be defined and explained. Also, there is a growing need to promote the idea of clinical pharmacy and come to an agreement on the area of practice and the postgraduate education and training that clinical pharmacists in Saudi Arabia must get. This essay aims to show a number of SSCP position statements that explain what clinical pharmacy is, what kind of education and training is needed, and what kinds of jobs clinical pharmacists can have in Saudi Arabia. This essay urges more research that looks into how clinical chemists affect the health of individuals and groups.
