GETTING A FEEL FOR SAUDI ARABIAN DOCTORS' SENTIMENTS ON THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: A BROAD QUALITATIVE APPROACH

Abstract

Starting off Several studies have previously investigated the perspectives of medical professionals regarding various aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some general strategies for dealing with the pandemic have also been proposed. The objective This article examined the medical staff's workflow in Saudi Arabia, including their planning processes, leadership's handling of the pandemic, information sharing, medical errors, procedure adherence, and problems. Another objective was to devise a comprehensive strategy to contain the COVID-19 pandemic in Saudi Arabia. Steps to Take All of this was accomplished by creating an online survey and sending it to 336 healthcare professionals from 7 Saudi Arabian hospitals via email, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Facebook. Answers were provided 30.4% of the time. As a Final Product The Saudi healthcare workers were pleased with their performance in the following areas: patient communication and interaction, team leadership and coordination, work planning, communication and collaboration, skill development, adherence to protocols to prevent errors and the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, and adequate infection control measures. Having stated that, Evidence from Saudi Arabia's health care operations during the COVID-19 pandemic shows that various entities should have communicated and collaborated more effectively. In order to assist Saudi Arabia in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, this study examined a wide range of issues. Training and support for health professionals, effective communication, leadership, planning and coordination of work, providing patients with the correct care, and rigorous adherence to hospital policies and procedures were all part of it. The Saudi Arabian authorities may find some useful suggestions for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus in this paper.
