Abstract
Meaning: Being happy with your job is an important part of the health system that helps it give better care to people. Job happiness is how an employee feels about their job, regardless of their personal preferences. People who work in health care are thought to be more productive, mentally healthy, and overall well-being when they are happy with their jobs. With a focus on the demand and supply sides in the country, this research investigation is part of a larger study that aims to understand the factors that affect a new workforce planning strategy in Saudi Arabia. The results of this study showed that men were much happier with their specialty, organisation, and total global score. A link between age and job satisfaction is also supported by a lot of data. Health professionals who were younger were less happy with their jobs than those who were older. Other than being happy in cities, we found that Saudi healthcare workers were the least satisfied with their lives in every way. On the other hand, non-Saudi (Arab) healthcare workers were happy with everything. Our study found statistically significant differences between the groups. Doctors and surgeons are the most satisfied, while dentists are the least. An overwhelming majority of health professionals, especially those with more than five years of experience, were very satisfied.
