Abstract

This study looked at scientific papers to find nursing diagnoses and treatments that are linked to taking care of people who are likely to get deep vein thrombosis. Materials for this in-depth study of the literature came from the Virtual Health Library, which is a group of twelve databases about health. Links from the Medline library were also found on the PubMed portal run by the National Library of Medicine in the United States. The search terms "venous thrombosis," "nursing diagnoses," and "venous thrombosis" were used to get information in October 2021. These words could be used alone or together with the Boolean AND operator. We read pieces that were written in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. In-depth articles that backed the original theory were chosen for the study. This theory said that there wasn't enough research showing nursing diagnoses for patients who are likely to get deep vein thrombosis. Four out of ten findings made by nurses (49% of the time) were for "ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion." Because of this, it was decided that more research is needed to confirm a safer method based on scientific proof for treating people who are likely to get deep vein thrombosis.
