Abstract
The rapid industrialization and urbanization across the globe have led to an increase in the generation of industrial waste, posing significant environmental and health hazards. However, recent advancements in green chemistry offer promising approaches for transforming industrial waste into value-added products. This paper explores various chemical transformation processes based on green chemistry principles that enable the conversion of industrial waste into useful materials such as biofuels, biodegradable plastics, and other chemicals. By employing environmentally friendly methods such as catalytic processes, solvent-free reactions, and the use of renewable resources, these approaches not only reduce waste but also minimize the environmental footprint of industrial processes. This paper reviews the current strategies, their applications, and the challenges in implementing these green chemistry approaches on an industrial scale.
